Save the Date for the 12th Annual Crime Victim Law Conference

June 7th-8th, 2013  |  Portland, Oregon

Mark your calendars for NCVLI’s 12th Annual Crime Victim Law Conference!  NCVLI’s Conference is the only conference in the country focused on rights enforcement.  Join us for this invaluable opportunity to learn the practical skills necessary to serve victims and to participate in key conversations that will shape the future of victims’ rights.

Keynote Speakers
We are excited to announce that Oregon survivor Jennifer Bennett and her attorney Jennifer Coughlin of Brothers, Hawn, and Coughlin LLP will be keynote speakers.  Ms. Bennett was the victim of a brutal sexual assault in 2011 and then endured re-victimization in the justice system when, during the prosecution of her offender, her privacy was invaded on numerous fronts - from subpoenas of her Google search history, to demands for her journal, to defense investigators showing up to question her.  Fortunately, Ms. Bennett had Ms. Coughlin fighting to protect her rights and NCVLI was privileged to work with Ms. Coughlin along the way.  Ms. Bennett recently shared her story with The Oregonian and will be featured on the Today Show on October 10th.
